Film Bazaar opens with IFFI in Goa

Panaji, Nov 26 (UNI) With an aim to bring together filmmakers, producers and distributors onto a single platform, a Film Bazaar, on the sidelines of the International Film Festival of India 2008, started here today.

Managing Director of National Films Development Corporation (NFDC) Nina Lath Gupta said the Film Bazaar is a good platform for interaction between domestic and international partners, which is a great way in getting the maximum benefit.

The Bazaar, which has been organised by the NFDC, is open for feature as well as non-feature sections, she said and hoped that this year the Film Bazaar would provide the best platform compared to the other years.

In addition to the Film Bazaar, there would also be a workshop on screenwriting, which would be organised by Amsterdam based International Feature Film Development Centre.

The "Work-in-progress Lab" is also another attraction. There is also a Film Conclave, which would have discussions on the global trends in the industry.
