CRPF aspires to establish Cobra training school in Hazaribagh:DIG
Hazaribagh, Nov 26 (UNI) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is interested in setting up a ''Cobra Training Centre'' to provide special trainning to jawans to combat naxalism, sources said today.
Talking to reporters here CRPF Deptuy Inspector General Alok Raj said proposal in this regard was being prepared.
About 150 acre of land was required for the trainning centre and it was upto the government to provide the land here as soon as possible, Mr Raj added.
''The area was favourable for jungle war school'', he said.
The DIG was here to hand over a Home Ministry trophy awarded to 22nd battalion of the CRPF.
He said, about Rs 1.60 crores had already been deposited to the state government to provide land for establishing a group centre which was temprorarily functioning from Dhanbad.
