Bhopal, Nov 25 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj today said the people would decide on any injustice meted out by the party to Sadhvi Uma Bharti at the hustings in Madhya Pradesh.
Replying to a volley of queries from reporters at a news conference here, Mrs Swaraj said in 2003 people had voted in favour of BJP and not for Ms Uma Bharti, who had claimed to have brought BJP to power.
When pointed out that BJP had meted out injustice to the Sadhvi by removing her as chief minister and at the same time raising its voice in favour of Malegaon blast case accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Mrs Swaraj said ''all Sadhvis could not be equated with same yardstick''. Selective leakages by investigating agencies as ''poll stunt'' could not be tolerated, she added.
Ms Bharti, who had floated Bhartiya Jan Shakti after her expulsion from BJP, is in the poll arena in the state by fielding her party candidates in a number of constituencies and herself in the fray from Tikamgarh constituency. Few days ago, she nominated her former colleague K N Govindacharya as the BJS 'overall incharge''.
