Owais Shah to play for Middlesex in Champions League

Mumbai, Nov 25 (UNI) Batsman Owais Shah, who is presently with the England team touring India, has been allowed to play in the inaugural edition of the Champions League twenty20 for the Middlesex Crusaders, which will be held at Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai from December 3 to 10.

Indian discard left arm spinner Murali Kartik has also been named in the Middlesex Crusaders squad.

Meanwhile, Sialkot Stallions, winners of the domestic twenty20 tournament of Pakistan for three years in a row, announced their squad for the tournament with Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik being named the captain of the side, a release stated here today.

The following are the two teams: MIDDLESEX CRUSADERS: Shaun Udal (c), Alan Richardson, Benjamin Scott, Billy Godleman, David Nash, Dawid Malan, Edmund Joyce, Eoin Morgan, Gareth Berg, Murali Kartik, Nick Compton, Owais Shah, Steven Finn, Timothy Murtagh, Tyron Henderson.

SIALKOT STALLIONS: Shoaib Malik (c), Abdul Rehman, Adeel Malik, Ali Khan, Bilal Hussain, Faisal Naveed, Kashif Raza, Kamran Younas, Mansoor Amjad, Muhammad Ayub, Muhammad Ali, N Qazi, Qaisar Abbas, Sarfraz Ahmad, Shakeel Ansar.
