Mumbai, Nov 25 (UNI) A five-member team of Mumbai's young 'K-Tigers', today demonstrated their skills in Taekwondo here as a curtain raiser of 'Open Taekwondo Games', organised by the Jainawala's Sports Training&Research Centre (JSTARC), to be held at Dr D Y Patil Academy, Navi Mumbai, on January 11.
The team led by Grand Master Ahn Hak-Sun of South korea based 'K-Tigers', world famous Taekwondo institute, showed perfect 'Tholiochagis' 'Najundemakis' fused with elements of jazz dance and aerobics.
''JSTARC is one of the only three non-Korean Taekwondo institutes around the world affiliated to the K-Tigers. We will be extending every support to to make the sport more popular here in India,'' said Ahn Hak-Sun.
JSTARC and the K-Tigers are trying to push Taekwondo in India not only as a means of self-defence but as a fitness activity with special programmes to suit different age-groups and the Indian physique.
