Islamabad, Nov 25 : The Chairman of the Pakistan Senate Defence Committee, Senator Nisar A. Memon, has strongly criticized the presence of Indian troops in Afghanistan.

"We have conveyed our reservations to the respective countries and have demanded end to this un-mandated presence," The Pakistan Post quoted Memon, as saying.

He was talking to reporters on his arrival from a week-long visit to the UK and Brussels.

Senator Memon said the Committee has already conveyed its reservations on US drone attacks and un-mandated large presence of Indian troops in Afghanistan, to the UK Parliamentary Defence Committee and NATO Headquarters.

He said the Committee showed deep concern about the drone attacks in the Tribal Areas of Pakistan. They committee members stressed further that this action is bringing a bad name to the United States and its allies including the United Kingdom.

Memon said they have told the UK Committee that the Parliament of Pakistan has passed a unanimous resolution in a joint session, which was held in camera last month.

He added that the message is very clear that the war on terror was not a military affair only but also includes political content.
