Jamaat-e-Islami Hind seeks probe into bomb blasts in past 10 years
Kochi, Nov 25 (UNI) Claiming that one community was unfairly targeted and blamed in each case of terrorist attack in the country, the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind today demanded an impartial probe into the bomb blast incidents of past ten years.
Addressing the concluding function here of the 'National Caravan for Peace and Justice' launched by the Jamaat, its president Sayyid Jalaludheen Ansar Umari said that the organisation condemned terrorism and its supporters.
However, it was also seen that only one community was targeted and viewed with suspicion every time there was an incident of a bomb blast.
Stating that this was not a correct approach, Sayyid Umari called for the government to conduct an impartial probe into the bomb blast incidents which took place in the country in the past ten years to reveal the truth.
Stressing the need for a political party to fight for the cause of the depressed and downtrodden, Sayyid Umari said the Jamaat was considering launching an outfit to this end.
The proposed organisation would represent not only Muslims but all sections of downtrodden people, he added.
Describing Muslims as among the most deprived communities in the country, he stressed the need for concerted efforts for its uplift.
