Panaji, Nov 25 (UNI) Special tributes were paid to Iran actress and director Nikki Karimi, who is also a jury member of the competition section, at the International Film Festival of India with opening of her film "A Few Days Later".
Just before the screening of the film, Nikki Karimi said the film was not that sweet but was a bitter one about three/four days of relationship. The feeling of emptiness could be felt sometimes in the film, she said.
Apart from "A Few Days Later" directed by her, another film "3 Women" in which she plays the lead role, will also be screened as part of the Special tributes to her.
Niki Karimi presents a gorgeous minimalist portrait of a 34 year old woman Shahraz in her "A Few Days Later". It tells a gripping story of personal choice amid a vividly depicted social and cultural milieu.
"3 Women" is a story of three women from three different generations -- Grandmother, mother and daughter. It is a story of three women lost in the past, the present and the future.
Nikki Karimi, who has been internationally acclaimed as an actress and a film maker, has starred in over 20 movies in Iran and directed two feature films.
