New Delhi, Nov 25 (UNI) Among people trading online, the Delhiites are buying the maximum number of fitness equipment, according to a report.
According to 'eBay India Census Guide', a research report designed to provide an indepth view of online buying and selling patterns among Indians who shop on online marketplace eBay India, Delhiites spend the maximum on personal care, grooming and fitness.
''It comes out as a fun fact...Delhiites are the most health conscious and they bought the most fitness equipment, including abdominal exercisers, swimming gear and yoga accessories on eBay in 2007,'' eBay India Director (Category&Product Management) B Muralikrishanan told reporters here today while releasing the report.
The first-of-its-kind research reveals that Delhi shoppers are the most active on eBay taking the national capital to the second largest eCommerce hub in the country.
The items in 'Top Ten Bought by Delhiites' list include Indian stamps, diamonds, MP4 players, value handsets, USB drives, diamond rings, USB MP3 players, chronographs wrist watches, jewellery sets and Blackberry handsets.
On the other hand, the items in 'Top Ten Sold by Delhiites' list include Indian stamps, education and textbooks, women apparel, FM radios, USB drives, fiction, rings, MP4 players, tops and T-shirts and jewellery sets.
The National Capital Region -- Faridabad -- also found place in the list as the country's tenth largest eCommerce hub, and the fun fact about it is that the residents of the city bought maximum number of formal wears across the country in 2007.
The census, which analyses the online behaviour amongst 28 states, 6 union territories and Top 100 e Commerce cities in India, says that Mumbai is the top eCommerce hub of the country followed by Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai.
