SHILLONG, Nov 25 (UNI) Meghalaya police are preparing to file a chargesheet against a third-year law student Mominul Haque for threatening to kill BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate LK Advani.

Haque, a tech-savvy student on Shillong Law College posted the e-mail threat to a section of media houses here to assassinate Mr Advani during his public address here on September 29, which was a part of the BJP's leader nationwide Sankalp Yatra.

"We have enough evidence against Haque for posting the e-mail threat to kill Mr Advani. The chargesheet will be filed within the mandatory 90 days," Inspector General of Police, S B Singh told UNI here.

The Central Processing Unit of the Computer, which Haque used, had been sent to Forensic Science Laboratory in Hyderabad to retrieve documents deleted from the computer.

Police also seized Haque's passport which showed that he travelled to Dubai and Bangladesh to meet his relatives.

"Though the crime of Haque is born out of emotion and frustration, sending of threatening mail to an important political leader is a crime," Mr Singh said.

Interrogators, who gleaned information from the accused (Haque) to build on information on the e-mail threat, claimed that Haque posted the threatening e-mail, out of emotion, frustration and anger.
