CM urges teachers to build confidence among students
Puducherry, Nov 25 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister V Vaithilingam today urged the teacher community to play a vital role in instilling confidence in the minds of students to earn while studying.
Inaugurating a two-day programme 'Art of Counselling,' for government teachers, organised by the Puducherry Women's Commission here, the Chief Minister said teachers should give counselling to the students for the purpose.
Speaking on the occasion, Welfare Minister M Kandasamy pointed out that students, who fail in 10th standard and plus-two, were indulging in illegal activities, and through counselling teachers could lead them on the right path.

The Puducherry police could function effectively, if politicians keep away from intervening, he opined.
