London, Nov 25 : A 56-year-old man, who has been dubbed "the British Josef Fritzl", is to be sentenced after confessing that he made his daughters pregnant 19 times during years of abuse.
The man, from Sheffield, admitted to preying on his daughters for more than 25 years - making his case similar to that of Austrian rapist Fritzl's.
Fritzl kept his daughter locked in a dungeon for 24 years as he fathered seven children with her, reports the Telegraph.
Lat month at Sheffield Crown Court, the Briton admitted 25 rapes and four indecent assaults.
The Recorder of Sheffield, Judge Alan Goldsack QC, heard how his daughters have had a number of miscarriages and terminations but some of their pregnancies did lead to children being born.
Their hell began in 1980 and continued until February last year. The younger daughter fell pregnant 12 times and her sister seven.
Out of these, nine children were born but two died within hours.
The court was told how the daughters had several miscarriages, while other pregnancies were terminated when screenings picked up abnormalities.
"The seven surviving children have their own difficulties," said Nicholas Campbell QC, prosecuting last month.
Nicholas added: "Two are severely incapacitated and one of them has been recently diagnosed with a fatal condition. It seems clear that that mix of the DNA of this defendant and that of both his daughters showed that damage would be caused to their offspring.
"Even after that damage became obvious he carried on impregnating his daughters."
