New Delhi, Nov 25 (UNI) Describing two A's-- Advani and Abhinav Bharat-- as a threat to internal security, the Congress today said the ''nexus between politicians and terrorism was the emerging challenge to the country''.

Briefing newspersons, Congress chief spokesman Veerappa Moily said BJP prime ministerial candidate L K Advani's statement that Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur was tortured by the Maharashtra ATS was ''totally irresponsible and insensitive''.

''The statment was made in utter disregard to the rule of law,'' Mr Moily added.

He said the ATS and the CBI were highly professional bodies, and the allegation was meant to cover up the acts of terrorism by the BJP-inspired outfits.

He said the BJP's stand on terrorism got exposed with RSS chief K S Sudarshan desisting from claiming that the Malegaon blasts accused were innocent.

Mr Moily said Mr Advani was trying to get votes in the coming Assembly elections at the cost of internal security, but ''these elections will be the waterloo for Mr Advani and his party''.

Hitting out at Abhinav Bharat, a Sangh Parivar supported outfit allegedly involved in the Malegaon blasts, Mr Moily claimed that its tentacles were panning across the borders with reports of its members meeting Bangladeshi nationals in Kolkata in February.

''The outsourcing of terror seems to have become the new cult with some of the BJP outfits,'' he alleged.

Slamming the BJP leader for his comments that the UPA had failed both on job security and physical security, Mr Moily asked, ''Is Mr Advani not aware that Malda Region in Madhya Pradesh has become the loboratory of terrorism.'' He said the multiple outfits of the BJP that were once considered to be its strength for cadre-building had now become its biggest weakness.

''The BJP has reached a point where it will be swallowed by the very Frankenstein monsters it created,'' he added.
