SWR introduces special train between Chennai and Bangalore
Bangalore, Nov 24 (UNI) The South Western Railway (SWR) today announced introduction of special train between Cehnnai Central and Bangalore City to clear extra rush.
Train No 0687 Chennai Central-Bangalore City Garib Rath weekly special will leave Chennai at 23.30 hrs on Wednesdays and reach Bangalore city at 0555 hrs the next day. On the return direction train No 0688 Bangalore City-Chennai Central Garib Rath weekly special will leave Bangalore city at 06.45 hrs on Thursdays and reach Chennai at 13.00 hrs, according to a SWR release here.
The first service from Chennai would commence from Novewmber 26 and the last service would be on December 31.
The train will run from Bangalore city via Bangalore cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, White field, Bangarpet, Kuppam, Jolarpettai, Ambur, Katpadi, Arakkonam and perambur to reach Chennai.
The train will have a composition of 12 three-tier high capacity AC coaches, 4 high capacity AC chair cars and 2 luggage cum motor vans.
Train No 0789 Kacheguda-Bangalore city weekly special will leave Kacheguda at 21.55 hrs on 23.11.2008 and 30.11.2008, on Sundays and arrive Bangalore city at 12.10 hrs the next day. Train No 0790 Bangalore city-Kacheguda weekly special will leave Bangalore city on 24.11.2008 and 01.12.2008 on Monday at 13.00 hrs and arrive Kacheguda at 0400 hrs the next day.
