Patna, Nov 24: The RJD, the main opposition party in Bihar, on Monday, Nov 24 described the ''success report card'' of the Nitish Kumar government as a ''bundle of lies'', saying that it was just an ''advertisment-based government'' which failed miserably on all fronts during three years of its rule.

On the occasion of ''Report Card Day'' of Nitish Kumar government, RJD national general secretary-cum-spokesperson Shyam Rajak, principal general secretary Ramkripal Yadav, former ministers Ramchandra Purvey, Shakeel Ahmad Khan and others rejected the entire report and alleged that the Bihar government failed to fulfill its promises during three-years of its rule.

They also released a ''failure'' card of the government and claimed to expose the real face of Nitish Kumar.

''While taking oath as Chief Minister, Mr Kumar had promised to change the face of the state within three-months of assuming power.

However, the people are well aware of the realities and even after passage of three years the change is not visible. In fact the image of the state has further deteriorated,'' they alleged.

The assurances of Mr Kumar of ''making a new Bihar'' sounded hollow and the development remained a subject of advertisment in the posters, hoardings, newspapers and magazines, they said.

''The government spent crores of rupees on advertisments for projecting rosy picture of achievements. The group of ministers, led by Nitish Kumar, failed to change the face of Bihar. Instead their faces were glowing with smiles while the common people were facing the pangs of poverty,'' the RJD leaders said.

They said the claims of Mr Kumar of ''judicious'' development of the state got entangled in ''loot and corruption''.

''The directions issued by Mr Kumar to the District Magistrates through video conferencing for implementing the developmental projects is nothing but an eyewash as even ration cards have not been made in the districts,'' they added.

The RJD leaders further said announcements for construction of pucca houses under Indira Awas Yojana for those whose dwellings were completely damaged in the floods remained only on paper as not even five per cent of the damaged houses had been constructed so far. ''After the floods in 2007 which occured due to the negligent attitude of the government, Mr Kumar had promised to save the people of Bihar from the flood fury but the state again faced catastrophic floods this year,'' they added.

The oppressed sections of the society just found mention in the speeches of the Chief Minister but nothing concrete was done for their actual uplift, they alleged.

''Similarly the claims of sushashan and decline in crime rate is a farce,'' they alleged, adding the crime incidents had increased alarmingly.

''The senior citizens, labourers, students and other sections of the society faced humiliation during the three years of regime of Nitish Kumar government,'' they said.

They further alleged that the ''Janata Darbar'' held in the name of ''Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar'' failed to bring results.

''The promises for construction of roads are hollow as the people are forced to move on bumpy roads. The Comptroller and Auditor General too had grilled the NDA government of Bihar for the prevailing corruption in its report released on March 31, 2007,'' the RJD stated.

''The NDA government has deprived the minorities from social, educational and financial benefits and rendered them as second grade citizens,'' they said.

It has been unable to spend the developmental and welfare funds released by the Centre and this has forced the people to migrate in search of livelihood, the RJD leaders alleged.
