Pakistan to free 101 Indian prisoners
Islamabad, Nov 24: As part of confidence-building measures (CBMs) between Pakistan and India, Islamabad has reportedly decided to free 101 Indian prisoners, including 99 fishermen.
The prisoners to be freed have completed their respective jail terms in Pakistan, Prime Minister's Adviser on Interior Rehman Malik said on Sunday, Nov 23. The fishermen had been in jail for two to six years and the two other Indian citizens for a longer period, reported the Dawn. Pakistan's gesture is seen as a reciprocal move to India, who had recently freed 29 Pakistani citizens.
