Vijayawada, Nov 24 (UNI) North Bengal trounced Jammu and Kashmir 3-0 in Group 'A', while Andhra Pradesh beat Uttar Pradesh 3-0 in Group 'B', match in the first round of the 70th Sub-Junior National Table Tennis Championship being played at the DMRC Indoor stadium here today.

In the single matches of the Cadet Girls team played between NB and Jammu and Kashmir, Sorvoi Ghosh beat Apoorva Gupta 11-6,11-1, 11-7, Anuska Dutta beat Varonika Bhat 11-1, 11-0, 11-0 while in doubles Survi Ghosh and Anuska Gupta beat Apoorva Gupta and Varonika Bhat in straight sets 11-2, 11-1, 11-1.

In another match played between Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, K Spoorthy beat Pragati Srivastava 11-3, 13-11, 11-6, Akshi Sancheti beat Ayushi Singh 11-8, 13-11, 11-6 in singles and in doubles match, K Spoorthy and Akshi beat Pragati Srivastava and Ayushi 11-4, 11-7, 11-5.

Sikkim got a walk over from Bihar.

In Group'C' matches, Tamil Nadu defeated Meghalaya by 3-0, Harsha Vardhini beat Tanushree Dasgupta 11-6, 11-6, 11-3, Abinaya Ramesh beat Madhavi Chettri 11-1, 11-6, 11-2 in singles, while Krithiga Rajan and Abinaya beat Tanushree and Sylivie Marwein 11-6, 11-4, 10-12, 11-4 in the doubles encounter.

Gujarat defeated Goa 3-0 in Group 'C', Srinshtha Bhatia beat Urmila Mense 11-1, 11-4, 12-10, Purva Shah beat Roshini Gopani 11-9, 11-7, 11-6 in singles matches and in doubles match, Purva and Srinshtha beat Roshini and Urmila 11-3, 11-9, 11-3.
