National Institute of Sports to be set up

Hyderabad, Nov 24 (UNI) A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for setting up a National Institute of Sports at Choutuppal Mandal in Nalgonda district in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy here today.

The institute would come up in the land ameasuring 37 acres 35 guntas in Tangadpally village donated by President of the Muscu Anantha Reddy Charitable trust Dr M Madhusudhan Reddy.

The MoU was signed by Madhusudhan Reddy and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Dr Madhusudhan Reddy also donated a newly constructed double storied RCC building with more than 50,000 sft constructed area with all amentities such as electrical, sanitary fittings etc, an official release here tonight said.

The National institute of sports and research will have autonomous stutus and the property would be used exclusively for sports development and promotion and research to improve the sports standards in the country.
