K'taka takes 178 run lead with three wickets in hand against Baroda

Bangalore, Nov 24 (UNI) Superb batting by Team India batsman Rahul Dravid (83) and wicket keeper V S Thilak Naidu (90) enabled Karnataka to force a 176 run first innings lead with three wickets in hand at the end of day-two on the four-day Ranji trophy cricket elite group super league match against Baroda.

Resuming at the overnight total of 63 for three, the hosts started punishing the bowlers right from the beginning.

Play was called off 20 minutes early due to badlight.

Left arm spinner Rajesh Pawar claimed two wickets including the catch of Thilak Naidu who was going strong. Right arm mediam pacer jitesh Argal, who had claimed two wickets yesterday, finished with 4/78 by claiming the wickets of Dravid and Raghu's.
