KSGA Yojna: HC asks state government to file counter affidavit

Allahabad, Nov 24 (UNI) Allahabad High Court today stayed a writ petition for the land over which district authority of Deoria was going to construct houses for Kanshiram Sahkari Garib Avas (KSGA) Yojna.

This order was passed by a division bench consisting of Justices Arun Tondon and Dilip Gupta on the petition filed by Sanyukt Morcha Stadium Mahatma Gandhi and others.

The Court has asked the UP government to file a counter affidavit in this case within four weeks. Besides, it directed to hear the case on January 7, 2009. The argument of the petitioner was that the property in dispute was in fact the severage farm of Nagar Palika Deoria, which was leased out in favour of the petitioner, members of the petitioner society for a period of two years scheduled to expire on July 27, 2009.
