Kerala Assembly congrats ISRO scientists
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 24: The Kerala Assembly today congratulated ISRO scientists involved in Chandrayaan-1, the country's first successful unmanned moon mission.
During the Zero Hour, Speaker K Radhakrishnan said, ''the House takes the opportunity to congratulate all the scientists involved in the unmanned moon mission.
''Let us hope that the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) reaches new heights in the years to come,'' he added.
Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said his government proposed to accord a reception to ISRO chief G Madhavan Nair and other scientists involved in the successful mission.
Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly Oommen Chandy pointed out that scientists from Kerala had played a crucial role in the Chandrayaan-1 project.
