Clerk given Three-year jail term
Patna, Nov 24 (UNI) A special court today awarded three years of rigorous imprisonment to a state commercial taxes department head clerk and slapped a fine of Rs 4,000.
The Judge of special vigilance court found Narendra Kumar Sinha, a head clerk at local Kankarbagh office, guilty under various Sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to the charges, Narendra was caught red-handed by the vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 from a person for issuing no objection certificate.
