Chennai: Financial Mathematics, hottest subject
Chennai, Nov 24: To provide an overview of the craeer opportunities for the Classes of X, XI and XII, first year students of MOP Vaishnav College for Women organised a two-day career fair. Student of around 16 schools were invited for and were given first-hand experience of avenues apart from engineering and medicine. The Mathematics students, for example, have exhibited charts, games and puzzles, showcasing use of numbers in most fields. Why financial mathematics is the hottest subject, the various openings in the field of statistics and how graphs theory and kolams are related, the classroom was buzzing with activity.
The Journalism department also witnessed a beehive of activity, with students trying their creativity with slogan writing and other contests.
