London, Nov.24 : Former England football star Paul Gascoigne is set to live on the streets, at least figuratively.
According to pals, Gazza, 41, has signed up to mirror the life of a tramp in a celebrity version of BBC3 reality show Filthy Rich And Homeless.
According to The Sun, the down-on-his-luck footie idol, who has fought his own battle against drink, drug and mental health issues, will be filmed as he struggles with the realities of being homeless.
One of his friends said that Gazza is really keen to take part in the reality show.
Gazza's appearance on the show will follow a torrid year. It recently emerged he is in dire straits financially, owing the taxman 215,000 pounds. And two months ago he threatened to kill himself. He has also been sectioned twice under the Mental Health Act.
Over the weekend, his on-off girlfriend Sally Mulholland, 44, had jetted into the UK from her home in Portugal after Gazza suffered mysterious wrist injuries.
