Kohima, Nov 24 (UNI) Altogether 78 works by various artists from different parts of the state will be displayed at the 23rd Nagaland State Art Exhibition slated to begin here from tomorrow.
Official sources here today said Nagaland Commissioner and Secretary Temjen Toy will inaugurate the Art Exhibition, which will continue till December 7, coinciding with the Nagaland Hornbill Festival, to be inaugurated on December 1 at Kisama near here.
Along with the State Art Exhibition, a craftsmen's workshop is also being organised at Kisama, the venue of the Hornbill Festival from tomorrow, where about 40 craftsmen from all over the state will demonstrate and exhibit their works.
Both the Art Exhibition and Workshop are being organised simultaneously by the Department of Arts and Culture, Government of Nagaland, as part of Hornbill Festival, 2008 and also to mark the ''Year of Capacity Building'', declared by the state government for the current year, in the field of creative arts, the sources added.
