4 BJP supporters killed in mishap in Vadodara
Vadodara, Nov 24: Four BJP supporters were killed and more than 30 others injured, five of them seriously, when a truck in which they were returning from Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's election rally in Madhya Pradesh, overturned at Navaljah in Kawant taluka, about 120 km from here, on Sunday, Nov 23.
Carrying about 40 people, the truck was on its way to the border town of Alirajpur in Madhya Pradesh via Kawant, when the accident occurred, police sources said.
Former BJP MP Ramsinh Rathwa, who had also gone to attend Mr Modi's election rally held at Umrali, said most of the victims belonged to Alirajpur in Madhya Pradesh.
Kawant Police said one Narsinh Rathwa (40) died on the spot and others were rushed to the Kawant Civil hospital. Eight of the victims were later rushed to the civil hospital here in a serious condition. Of them, three -- identified as Bachhu Rathwa, Prem Rathwa and Praveen Rathwa -- succumbed to injuries.
