S S Rao to lead Jharkhand against HP in Ranji league tie

Jamshedpur, Nov 23 (UNI) Medium pacer S S Rao has been named captain of the Jharkhand team for the four-day Ranji trophy league encounter against Himanchal Pradesh slated to be held at Mecon stadium of Ranchi from November 29.

Former skipper Manish Vardhan was stripped of the captaincy following the dismal performance of the team in first two matches of Ranji league. He is, however, kept in the 15-member squad annouced by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association here last night.
