Samastipur, Nov 23 (UNI) RJD youth wing national president and MP Alok Mehta today accused the Nitish Kumar government of failing to provide jobs to the youth of Bihar.
Addressing a public function after inaugurating the developmental schemes from his MP fund in his Parliamentry constituency, Mr Mehta here alleged that the NDA government of Bihar, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, had failed to provide basic facilities to the people of the state.
He alleged that the oppressed sections of the society, including the dalits, backward and weaker sections, were facing torture at the hands of administration.
''Even after all possible financial help by the UPA government at the Centre, the Nitish Kumar government has failed to implement the developmental projects,'' he said.
He appealed to the RJD workers to launch mass movement for exposing the ''failures'' of Nitish Kumar government.
However, JD(U) MLC Vinod Kumar Choudhry painted a positive picture of the Chief Minister during his felicitation programme in Darbhanga, saying that the image of the state had changed during the three-year rule of Mr Kumar.
He said the state had made remarkable progress in different fields, especially in education, only because of the sincere efforts of Mr Kumar.
''Opening of four engineering colleges indicates the vision of Mr Kumar,'' he said, adding the Chief Minister was trying to provide better opportunities to the students in their own state.
