Jaunpur DM burnt in effigy; FIR against Cong leader, 14 others

Jaunpur, Nov 23 (UNI) Police today registered an FIR against a local youth Congress leader and 14 others for burning the District Magistrate in effigy here.

According to official sources, a mob, including Congress leader Indramani Dubey, had set afire the effigy of DM Aparna U while protesting the shortage of DAP manure on November 20.

A case in this regard has been lodged in the Khuthan police station.
