Hema Malini, Navjot Singh likely to campaign for BJP in Jammu
Jammu, Nov 23 (UNI) In a bid to woo voters and to strengthen the political scenario of the party, BJP MPs, celebrities, including Bollywood actor-turned-politician Hema Malini and former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, are likely to campaign for the party prior to the seventh phase elections in Jammu, which is going to poll on December 24.
''Celebrities, including Bollywood actor-turned-politicians like Shatrugan Sinha, Vinod Khanna, Hema Malini and Smriti Irani will be campaigning for the party and attending the road shows in the 'city of temples' as part of the ongoing Assembly elections,'' well placed party sources told UNI.
Moreover, former cricketer and Member of Parliament Navjot Singh Sidhu, is also likely to visit the town in support of the party, they said.
''Besides cine-stars, BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate L K Advani would be addressing a public rally, while stalwarts like Rajnath Singh, Narendra Modi, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley and Vinay Katiyar would also participate in road shows in different towns of the state,'' party sources asserted.
