BSF nab KNLF militant and Bangladeshi national

Shillong, Nov 23 (UNI) Security forces caught red-handed a Karbi Longri National Liberation Front (KLNLF) militant, while serving extortion notes to businessmen, a BSF statement said today.

Phong Hmar (26), the militant was arrested yesterday jointly by troops of the BSF and Assam police from Haflong market in Assam's North Cachar Hills district.

Hmar was handed over to the Assam police for further interrogation In another incident, the BSF personnel arrested Muhammad Saidul Haque, a Bangladeshi national for illegally entering India without any traveling documents.

Haque, a resident of Mymensingh district of Bangladesh crossed over to India from Nodankhol outpost under Tura sector in Meghalaya.

Meanwhile, the Bangladeshi national was handed over to Meghalaya police for investigation.
