BJP has shown concern about welfare of women: Hema Malini
Jabalpur, Nov 23 (UNI) Film actress and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Hema Malini has described Madhya Pradesh as the only state that has shown concern about the welfare of women.
Hema Malini, while addressing an election meeting Panagar assembly segment in this district last night, said the BJP had started several welfare schemes for women during its five year rule.
The BJP Government has chalked out various schemes for women, right from their birth to marriage and becoming mother.
She said overall development had taken place and the condition of road, electricity and water had improved during the BJP rule.
Pointing out that people had become fed up with the condition of road, electricity and water during the Congress rule, she said the BJP had come up to expectations of people, who voted it power on these issues.
A large crowd had gathered to see Hema Malini despite the programme starting two hours late than schedule.
A UNI report from Datia said, chaos occurred and people jostled with one another when a crowd started moving towards the stage to view Hema Malini, who was addressing an election meeting yesterday, more closely.
She issued a clarion call to vote for party candidate Narottam Mishra and make him victorious.
