Bal Thackeray-Raj meeting at Matoshree
Mumbai, Nov 23 (UNI) In a surprise development that has sent political circles in a tizzy, Maharshtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray was closeted with Shiv sena supremo Bal Thackeray for about one and half hours at the latter's 'Matoshree' residence in Suburban Bandra.
Talking to newspersons after spending two and half hours at his Uncle and mentor's house this afternoon, Raj brushed aside suggestions that the meeting had political overtures.
According to Raj, Balasaheb wanted a book on a western cartoonist which is in possession of the former. ''I had gone to give the book to him'', he remarked.
Raj said Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray was present in the latter half of the meeting.
This was his second visit to Matoshree in two and half years.
He said 'Balasaheb' had called him after his arrest and enquired about his well-being.
