Zardari proposes South Asia Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty
New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari today announced no first use of nuclear weapons against India, suggesting a South Asia Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and declared a ''hands-off policy'' on Kashmir.
Addressing the concluding session of the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit here from Islamabad through video conferencing, the Pakistan President also assured to take India-Pakistan relations to a new level and called for stepped up economic and trade ties and replacing of the visa system between the two countries with a card.
''We bring a message of peace and love from Pakistan. In spite of problems we have a great future together. I invite you to join us to outgrow the mindset which keeps us away from each other...We are standing here in hope and light of love..Let us embrace each other...We stand together and promise to take the friendly relations at a new level,'' the Pakistan President said in a brief address at the Summit.
