Stage set for polls in Rajouri tomorrow
Jammu, Nov 22 (UNI) Stage is set for the four border Assembly constituencies of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir going to polls in the second phase tomorrow.
At least 110 micro-observers would keep keep an eye on the election process while 57 companies of para-military forces have been deployed to ensure peaceful polling across the district.
''Adequate security apparatus is in place for the smooth conduct of election in Rajouri,'' an official spokesman said.
Emergency services -- fire and health -- were put on high alert to meet any exigency.
As many as 454 polling stations were set up in Darhal, Kalakote, Nowshera and Rajouri assembly constituencies.
Of these 454 polling stations, 85 have been categorized as hyper-sensitive and 181 as sensitive in the district.
Election materials, including EVMs and staff, have been dispatched to the 22 polling stations located in far flung areas of the district from where the result will be available on the other day.
There are 356,318 voters in the four assembly constituencies of Rajouri.
Besides Rajouri district, Ganderbal and Kangan Assembly constituencies in Kashmir division will also go to polls tomorrow.
