MP beats Assam on third day
Indore, Nov 22 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh today defeated Assam by 59 runs on the third day of the four-day Ranji Trophey Plate B League Group contest here today.
Resuming the day on 67 for 2, Shivshankar Rai was dismissed soon beginning the collapse for Assam side. Barring Jacob Martin (49) and Swarupam (39), no other batsman could make significant contribution and the team was bundled out for 177 runs.
Madhya Pradesh had a huge lead of 236 runs in their first innings. Pace bowler Sanjay Pandey scalped four wickets for 50 runs for winning side. Madhya Pradesh bagged six points with this victory.
