Puducherry, Nov 22: Asserting that the government officers and staffs should be punctual and regular in attending their duties, the administration on Saturday, Nov 22 warned that it would take stringent action, if they were found absent during duty hours.
A release from the Revenue and Disaster Management department on Saturday, Nov 22 alleged that the administration received complaints of late attendance, absenteeism from seats during working hours and excess lunch hours against the officers and staffs of the administration, despite warnings.
The employees were asked to observe the guidelines and instructions of office procedures. Surprise checks would be conducted by officials to nab the wrong-doers.
It is learnt that the warning was issued following a complaint lodged by the AIADMK legislator A Anbazhagan to the Collector recently that when he visited the Land and Survey Department at 0930 hours, the concerned officials did not report for duty.
