New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) today filed a chargesheet in a local court against a person accusing him of uploading and sending obscene profile of his female colleague.
The prime investigating agency filed the chargesheet under section 67 of the Information Technology Act 2000 and section 509 of the IPC against Harinder Singh, who was working in a travel agency.
In 2007, a few obscene e-mails were received by Swati Desai (name changed) and some of her close friends. At that time she had not complained to police.
Later in March 2008, on finding her obscene profile with contact details on a matrimonial website, she approached to the CBI.
During investigation, the CBI found that the e-mails were sent by Harinder Singh, who was working with the victim in 2006.
