Bangalore, Nov 21 (UNI) State Bank of Tranvancore, Kerala, defeated Bengal Mumbai Football Club (BMFC), Mumbai, 4-3 via tie-breaker in the 30th Federation Cup Preliminary knockout match played at the here today.
The tie-beaker was adopted since both the teams failed to score in the regular time as well as in 30 minutes extra time.
In the tie-breaker, M Abdul Basheer, skipper M A Abdul Hakim, C J Rinil and Paul Antony scored, while A B Kabeer's shot bounced back after hitting the right post for the Bankers. For BMFC, the scorers were Robin Kujur, Nigerian striker Abdul Lateer Siriki and goalee Sarfaraz Ansari, who himself took the shot scored, while captain Ansari Aqeel failed to net as the ball which went outside the shot by Wasim Raja was well saved by Bank custodian P A Jean Christian.

The Mumbai lads had to concentrate more on defending as the Bankers were attacking right from the beginning. To their dismay, though Captain himself took the role of custodian in the tie-breaker, he failed to save and he also to net the ball.
Mumbai player K P Nishad was shown yellow card by Referee Raghunath Gosavi of Goa, for obstructing Syed Nasir in the regular time, while the Referee flashed yellow card to B T Sarath of SBT taking objection to thwarating attempt by Sagar Thapa to score during the first half of extra time.
