Political parties condemn genocide against Lanka Tamils

Puducherry,Nov 21 (UNI) Members of several political parties and organisations observed a fast to condemn the ''killings'' of Tamils in Sri Lanka, here today.

The agitation was also to press for the Centre's intervention to find an amicable solution to the ethnic problem in Lanka.

The parties included Viduthalai Chiruthigal Katchi(VCK), MDMK, Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam, Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP), RJD, Ambedkar Thondar Padai, National Congress Party(NCP), Lok Janasakthi and Forward Block, among others.

Meanwhile, volunters of the Padappali Makkal Katchi observed the fast seperately at another venue.
