One killed, 4 injured in property feud
Panipat, Nov 21 (UNI) One person was killed and four others were seriously injured in a clash between some intruders and residents of Goyla Khera village in the district late last night, police today said.
The deceased, later identified as Surinderpal Alias Bablu,30, of Atolapur village, had allegedly been called along with some other musclemen, by Vinod Kumar of Goyla Khera village who wanted to get the possession of a disputed property.
The group of men went to the disputed house, in possession of Arvind for past 40 years, and began to threaten him and his family, to vacate the premises, which were in the name of his maternal grandfather.
However, some villagers got wind of the incident and gathered outside Arvind's house in large numbers. An altercation led to a clash in which Bablu was killed and four were injured while the other musclemen managed to flee.
The villagers also damaged a car and a motorcycle in which the outsiders had arrived in the village.
A team of police official from Baboli police station, which reached the spot, registered a case against villagers as well as the group of men under different sections of the law.
While the group of men were booked under sections 34 A, 148, 149, 432 and 452 of the IPC, while the villagers were booked under sections 304, 148, 149, 323 and 327 of the IPC.
