IOB improves perforance
Tiruchirapalli, Nov 21 (UNI) The Nationalised Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) in Tiruchirapalli region with 50 branches- 47 in Tiruchirapalli district and three in Ariyalur district- has mobilised deposits worth Rs 1,156 crore from 4.54 lakh customers.
The region had sanctioned loans to the tune of Rs 788 crore to about 1.54 lakh customers, according to the Bank's Chief Regional Manager Renuka Mohan Rao.
Addressing the customers meet here last night, she said these branches would explore the possibility of increasing the daily ceiling in withdrawals through its ATM services as many customers have demanded a rise in the ceiling from the present Rs 15,000. She said IOB has installed 13 ATMs in Tiruchirapalli city, and one each at Lalgudi, Manachanallur and Ariyalur.
The bank strive to promote Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSME).
She said last year the bank had, through sustained efforts, recovered loans to the tune of Rs 555 crore in impaired credit.
