Election campaign for second phase ends in J

Jammu, Nov 21 (UNI) Election campaign for the second phase of Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir today ended with all the political parties putting their best to woo voters.

Four border constituencies of Jammu region -- Rajouri, Nowshera, Darhal and Kalakote -- and two Assembly segments in Kashmir -- Kangan and Ganderbal -- will go to polls on November 23.

The total 493,878 electors, including 237,416 female voters, will decide the fate of 81 candidates in the fray for six Assembly constituencies of the state. The total 530 polling stations have been set up in six constituencies.

At least 356,318 voters, including 171,234 female, will exercise their right to franchise in 388 polling stations set up for four assembly constituencies in Rajouri district.

In the two constituencies of newly-carved Ganderbal district (in Kashmir), 137,560 electors, including 66,182 female voters, will exercise their right in 142 polling stations.
