Chhindwara, MP, Nov 21 (UNI) Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamalnath today claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party leaders were perturbed over the Congress manifesto, for the Madhya Pradesh polls, expressing commitment to the state's overall development and the public support accruing to the Congress.
''The manifesto, drafted under Congress President Sonia Gandhi's guidance, also kept in mind the interests of farmers, the poor, the unemployed and every other section of society. The document enshrines a commitment to make public an annual progress report of the government after the Congress assumes the state's reins,'' he said in a statement issued here.
Alleging that BJP bigwigs were habituated to spreading confusion and making false promises, the Minister added that the saffron party could not fulfil its power-related promise made during the 2003 hustings.
