Mumbai, Nov 21 (UNI) The specially formed police teams of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Haryana, probing the various bomb blasts in their states, today visited the office of Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) here to collect details of the accused in Malegaon blasts case of September 29.
While confirming this, inspector Dinesh Agarwal of ATS said that the teams of the four states were probing the Mecca Masjid blast in Hyderabad, Ajmer blast in Rajasthan, Modassa Blast in Gujarat and the Samjhauta Express train blast in Haryana. They met city ATS head Hemant Karkare and sought various details on Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and other accused, arrested by Maharashtra ATS.
He also said the teams only noted the various details of the accused and examined some papers, but did not interrogate any of them.
''We are not supposed to give permission to them to interrogate the accused unless we get some information about their possible involvement in the different blasts in various states,'' he said adding, ''Since the investigations are at a crucial stage we will not disclose everything to the media now.'' According to the law for seeking custody of these accused and for interrogating them, the respective state police has to give an application before the court.
