Two pilgrims die of heart attack in Tirumala
Tirumala, Nov 20 (UNI) Two devotees, including a 69-year-old, who had come for 'darshan' of Lord Venkateswara, died after suffering massive cardiac arrest in Tirumla.
According to Tirumala police, Raja Gopal (69), hailing from New Delhi, who reached the foot of the seven hills by trekking along with his brother Mr Shanker, a retired IAS officer, suddenly collapsed yesterday, while he was proceeding to SMC cottage in Tirumala, after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Later, he was shifted to TTD-run Aswini hospital where doctors declared him dead.
In a similar fashion, 43-year-old Sundar Rajan, hailing from Madurai in Tamil Nadu , who arrived here along with his family members, suffered a heart attack and collapsed while reaching the free darshan complex of Vaikuntam-II for darshan of the Lord Balaji.
He was rushed to the Asiwini hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
