Patna, Nov 20 (UNI)Criticising his bete noire Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumars efforts for taking credit for all good work, RJD chief Lalu Prasad has said Mr Kumar was even trying to claim credit for ''Chandrayaan-the Indian mission on the Moon''.

Addressing a gathering at an official function at Muzaffarpur, the railway minister said yesterday that Mr Kumar had stated that ''Chandrayaan was initiated by me''.

''Mr Kumar is in the habbit of taking credit for all good work and I had read recently his statement regarding the claims about Chandrayaan mission somewhere in a newspaper,'' Mr Prasad said.

He further blamed Nitish Kumar for 'copying him' and said the chief minister ''hurriedly pokes his nose to get credit even in the railawy projects initiated by me''.

The minister, whose speech appeared to be in election mode, suggested Mr Kumar concentrate on developmental activities for the welfare of the state instead of wasting energy in 'unfruitful' activities.

Mr Prasad said the public was aware of the facts and the work initiated by him as railway minister.

On the Maharashtra issue, he said he was ready to resign for the honour and dignity of the people of Bihar "but Nitish Kumar was not copying him this time on such an important matter and had refused to quit".

Earlier, both leaders had indulged in a war of words through the media in which Mr Prasad had dubbed Mr Kumar a ''bulb''. In turn, Mr Kumar had described the railway minister a ''fuse bulb'' who reacted by claiming to be a ''transformer'' which lights several bulbs.
