Fake notes totalling to Rs 18,00,800 seized in Nashik
Nashik, Nov 20 (UNI) The city police have seized fake notes totalling to Rs 18,00,800, from a mobile shop at Gangapur Road area here.
Acting on a tip off, the city police late last night raided the shop ''Mobile World'', that started its business only last week, and seized fake notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denomination, totalling to Rs 10 lakh approximately, police said. Today again they have found more fake notes totalling to Rs 8,00,800 from a car parked outside the shop, which is said to belong to director of the shop Sanjay Verma, they added.
A case has been registered against four people -- Verma, his friend Pramod Thakre, allegedly involved in a bank fraud case, Sudhakar Pandey, an employee of the shop and one Mr Gupta, police said.
While Pandey has been arrested, the other three are absconding.
