Delhi Duel: Hansraj Hans to campaign for SAD, BJP
New Delhi, Nov 20 (UNI) Celebrated Sufi Singer and Padma Shri recipient Hansraj Hans will add flavour to the election campaign of the Shiromani Akali Dal and the BJP ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls to be held on November 29.
The Punjabi folk singer recently joined the SAD which announced him as its Lok Sabha candidate from the Jalandhar constituency.
Hans' two brothers-in-law, advocate Paramjit Singh Pamma and Sukhwinder Singh Sukha, and Pamma's wife Shaminder Kaur are Akali Dal councillors in Kapurthala.
The BJP conceded four seats -- Shahadra, Rajouri Garden, Adarsh Nagar and Jangpura -- out of 70 in Delhi to the SAD under an electoral understanding.
