Ajit Jogi's convoy attacked in Chhattisgarh
Bilaspur, Nov 20: Tension prevailed in the Marwahi area in Chhattisgarh after some miscreants pelted stones on the convoy of former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi near Giriwar village in the district.
Mr Jogi's political secretary Shailesh Nitin Trivedi told UNI that some ''BJP supporters'' pelted stones at Mr Jogi's vehicle. However, no one was hurt in the incident, occurred 10 km from Pendra. Mr Trivedi also alleged that the miscreants tried to manhandle the supporters of Mr Jogi and even broke the window panes of some vehicles. ''The incident was the handiwork of the miscreants who were here from the adjoining Madhya Pradesh district,'' he claimed.
Meanwhile, the security of Mr Jogi has been beefed up by the district authorities. He is the Congress candidate from Marwahi constituency where polling is underway on Thursday, Nov 20.
